First Grade - Learning God's Story

http://www.mfwbooks.com/products/6/First-Grade
by My Fathers World

Categories: Parents, Grade 1, Lesson Plans

Suggested Grades: Grade 1, Parents

Product Description:

This first grade set from My Fathers World is much like the Kindergarten set as it has a thematic approach to phonics again. This time children will learn from their phonics-based Bible reader that covers the Bible from Genesis - Revelation. As students read from their phonics-based Bible reader they will also retell (narrate) the story they've read into their own Bible notebook. Students will also get a good grasp on the history of the Bible as they create their own Bible timeline and other hands-on projects.

Through the use of three Usbourne books: Things Outdoors, Science with Water, and Science with plants (all available for sale individually on My Father's World product page for grade 1) students will learn about nature. Included in the Teacher's Manual that accompanies both the Basic Package and the Deluxe Package, My Father's World has given the teacher goals and activities  for the student to learn their math with a hands-on approach to best develop math principles. Along with these activities is a math workbook to help reinforce these skills learned.

*My Father's World does recommend that if your student is not yet reading short vowel words yet he/she may need to begin with the Kindergarten program. You can contact My Father's World for a placement test also.
