In Write from Ancient History Level 1, this book covers the time period in ancient history, from creation myths to 400 AD. Write from History is a wonderful writing program that can be used with any history program that refers to the Table of Contents, which also serves as a timeline.

In Write from Ancient History Level 1, there are more than 55 reading selections. Some of the selections include:

• Early Egypt, Greece, and Rome
• Ruth and Naomi

These historically relevant readings are divided into four different chapters in Write from Ancient History Level 1. These are: short stories, time period tales, poetry, and cultural tales. In each model there are two writing prompts following each reading selection. The first model the child copies each word in the ruled lines below the word. The second writing model is a writing prompt at the top of the page and then ruled lines below for the child to write. This is to help the child to write from memory. (Looking at two to three words and memorizing how they are spelled, then writing them below.) If the student is ready the second model can also be used for dictation.
