Product Description:
Living Books Curriculum Teaching Guide is used in conjunction with an assortment of other books - living books. Books such as historical fiction, non-fiction, biography, etc are used to give the student a great Charlotte Mason education. Some textbooks are used but not many.

A companion CD-ROM comes with each teaching guide as well. These CD’s usually have pictures for picture study, maps for geography, notebook/journal pages, helpful articles, science support pages, additional reading material, ebooks, and much more. Not every grade comes with all of these resources but each CD is relevant to the grade.

LBC's Grade Seven Teaching Guide will give weekly lesson plans and a suggested daily schedule to help you a lot the amount of time needed for each study. The lesson plans are fairly specific about resources to use but some are left up to you, like which story or poem to read from a certain collection.

In their Christian studies, your child will study scripture and other works that go with a Charlotte Mason education. Their language arts study will cover copywork, grammar, dictation, storytelling (narration), Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, literature from Best-loved Literary Fairy Tales, and poetry from Jabberwocky: Poetry studies for Junior High.  In geography they will get to explore the world with A Book of Discovery. In world history your student will study Ancient Greece to the Middle Ages. Great books like The Story of Greece, The Story of Rome, Heroes of the Middle Ages, and more are used.  In American history This Country of Ours, A History Of Us, and others are used for the study. Picture study, composer study, nature study, and science are other subjects that Living Books Curriculum have added to complete a wonderful Charlotte Mason style curriculum.
